Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pockly (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use pockly.uk and its subdomains (text.pockly.uk, json.pockly.uk, image.pockly.uk, url.pockly.uk, calculator.pockly.uk, flow.pockly.uk — together, the “Site”).
1. Data processed in your browser
Most Pockly tools process your input entirely in your browser. Text you paste into the word counter or diff checker, images you resize or convert, JSON you format — none of this content is uploaded to our servers. It stays on your device and is discarded when you close the page, unless a tool explicitly saves it for you.
2. Local storage
Some tools (task board, habit tracker, scratchpad, saved preferences such as language) store data in your browser's local storage so your work is still there when you come back. This data lives only on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for pockly.uk.
3. Accounts
A few tools offer an optional account so you can sync data across devices. If you sign up, we store your email address and the content you save (for example, notes or tasks) in a secured database hosted by Supabase. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. You can request deletion of your account and its data at any time via the contact page.
4. Advertising and cookies
Pockly is free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- More about how Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), you will be asked for consent before advertising cookies are set.
5. Log data
Like most websites, our hosting providers automatically record basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security, debugging, and aggregate traffic statistics, not to identify you personally.
6. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Because most tools never send us your data, in practice this applies mainly to optional accounts. To exercise these rights, contact us through the contact page.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
